Copy the full address of your first-night stay. A clear example, field explanations and the exceptions to check before you submit.

Use the address of your actual first-night accommodation. Copy the hotel name and full street address from your booking confirmation. Keep its Chinese address and phone number in your notes; a city name or an airport alone does not identify where you will stay.

Which detail goes where?

The example above is a packing note, not a reproduction of the official form. Follow the fields shown in the Digital Arrival Card portal.

Hotel or accommodation name: Use the full property name, including its branch. A hotel chain name by itself can point to several locations.
Address and location: Save the street number, road, district, and city/province or municipality. Keep the Chinese text from the booking; add English notes alongside it if useful.
Phone and guest name: Keep the property phone number and your passport-matching booking name with the confirmation. These are useful supporting details; enter them only where the form asks.

If your stay is different

Several hotels: prepare the first-night address and keep the rest of your itinerary available if requested.
Staying with a friend: use the real residential address. Ask your host about accommodation registration after arrival; the arrival card does not replace it.
Only a Chinese address: keep it intact. Ask the hotel to identify the district and street rather than replacing them with “near the airport”.
Plans changed: keep the latest booking and explain the change. Use the portal’s current correction/resubmission options where available; do not assume an old submission has updated itself.
